Henry Glisson b.bef 1765 d.abt 1819 m.(1) ? (2) to Lucy McBee, (30 to Elizabeth Fike. Henry probably son or gs of Henry Glisson & Charity O'Quin of Northampton, Hertford, and Bertie Co. NC. Henry went to Logan Co. KY 1790-1795 with brother Patrick. He was listed in 1810 census in Logan Co. He moved to Robertson Co. TN 1810-1819 and left will there in 1819. In will he names wife Elizabeth sons Isaac, Henry, Patrick and daus Ann Smith, Charity, Polly and Elizabeth. Patrick probably Patrick of McNairy Co. TN 1850 who went to Tippah Co. MS by 1860. Henry that was listed in 1820 Lafayette Co. AR may be Henry Jr. Probable children of Henry Glisson are Ann wife of ? Smith, Isaac, Henry, Charity, Polly, Elizabeth, Patrick and maybe more. Henry Glisson Sr's family is portrayed in the KY Glisson family groups.

Patrick Glisson b.1765-1784 d.1810-1820 prob Robertson Co. TN m. Esther. Patrick probably son or gs of Henry Glisson & Charity O'Quin of Northampton, Hertford and Bertie Co. NC. Patrick went to Logan Co. KY 1790-1795 with brother Henry. He was listed in 1810 census in Logan Co. KY. He moved to Robertson Co. TN 1810-1820. His widow listed in census in 1820 in Robertson Co. TN as Wasther should have been Esther. Esther was listed living with son Jesse in 1850 census in Robertson Co. TN. Robertson Co. TN and Logan Co. KY bordered each other. Son Jesse listed in census 1850-1860 in Robertson Co. TN and in Graves Co. KY in 1870. Jesse's widow listed in 1880 in Ballard Co. KY. Thomas Glisson that was in Wilson Co. TN 1830 census and moved to Scott Co. AR is probably another son of Patrick's. Possible children of Patrick, are Jesse, Elizabeth, Thomas, and several more. Patrick's family is portrayed in the KY Glisson family groups.

James Glisson b.1760 Martin Co. NC d.1849 Henry Co. TN wife ? Dennison. James was listed in 1790-1800-1810 census in Martin Co. NC and in Weakley Co. TN in 1830 and in Henry Co. TN in 1840. He left will in 1849 in Henry Co. TN. In will he listed sons Dennis and James and daus Martha M?dd??t?? (Middleton), Elizabeth N??R??? (Norman), heirs of Nancy F. Lake, and Boddy Leesley. Martha may have been Martha wife of Isaac Middleton and Elizabeth may have been Elizabeth wife of John Norman. James did not list all his children in will. Probable children for James are James Jr., Martha wife of Isaac Middleton, Elizabeth wife of John Norman, Dennis, Brinkley, William W., Nancy F. wifeof ? Lake, Boddy wife of ? Leesley, John Huston (Hugh).

? Glisson b.? d.? wife ? Dennison. According to bible record of Martha Gleason-Glisson she m. Isaac Middleton and had a sister Elizabeth who married a Norman and had brother Brinkley and Hugh and other siblings. Isaac Middleton d.1834 in Henry Co. and Martha listed in 1840 and 1850 census in Henry Co. TN. Elizabeth married John Norman in 1828 in Duplin Co. NC and bondsman was Isaac Middleton. John Norman son of Richard Norman and Martha Middleton. John Norman & Isaac Middleton were first cousins. Brinkley Glisson m.1831 in Henry Co. TN and was in 1840-50-60-70 census in Henry Co. TN. An H. Gleason was in 1860 census Henry Co. TN listed as single age 41. This could have been Hugh although I have no other info on a Hugh Glisson in TN. Brinkley lived next door to Dennis Glisson son of James Glisson above in 1850 Henry Co. TN and Martha also lived next to Dennis. Martha & Elizabeth may be the Martha & Elizabeth listed in James Glisson's will above or they may not have been. I believe Martha, Elizabeth, Brinkley, and Hugh were siblings and also siblings to above. James above was from Martin Co. NC and as far as I know never went to Duplin Co. NC so these siblings having Duplin Co. NC connections is the only thing that makes me question them as to being children of James. I do not believe that they are children of Daniel Glisson below as some Norman researcher believe. Although the Middletons and Normans did go to Duplin Co. NC before coming to Henry Co. TN.

Daniel Glisson who was Sheriff of Duplin Co. NC married (1) Sarah Herring, (2) Elizabeth Kornegay. His probably children were, Bryant, Abraham, Sarah, Daniel Jr., Stephen Herring, Hinton, Elizabeth, Dennis, Eliza, George W., Haywood, Mary J. & Clarissa. His family can be found in detail in NC Glisson records. Bryant, Abraham, Daniel Jr., Stephen H., and Dennis all came to TN listed below. Hinton went to GA and Sarah, George W. & Haywood stayed in Duplin Co. NC.

Bryant Glisson b.1783 Duplin Co. NC d.1824 Duplin Co. NC m. Sarah Herring. Bryant definite son of Daniel Glisson and his first wife Sally Herring of Duplin Co. NC. Bryant listed in will of his grandfather Stephen Herring in 1797 Duplin Co. NC. Bryant himself left will in 1824 in Duplin Co. NC listing wife Sally, and children Bryan H., Sally Jane, Susannah, Abraham, and Zilphia Ann and also listed brothers Abraham and Stephen H. After Bryant died his widow and Children went to Shelby Co. TN abt 1830-40. His children and their descendants are in many Shelby Co. TN records.

Abraham Glisson b.1787 Duplin Co. NCd.1849 in Gibson Co. TN wife unknown. Abraham was listed in the 1820 census in Duplin Co. NC and listed in 1830-1840 in Gibson C o. TN. He was a definite son of Daniel Glisson and first wife Sarah Herring. He was not listed in will of Stephen Herring. Abraham was listed in brother Bryant's will. Abraham left many descendants in and around the Gibson Co. TN area. Probably children are Sarah, Rachel, Abraham, Daniel, Barbara, Clarissa, Harriett and several others.

Daniel Glisson JR. b.1790-95 Duplin Co. NC d.1850-1870 probably Gibson Co. TN m.(1), (2) to Martha Patsy. Earlier researchers listed a Daniel Glisson Jr. b.1785 wife Elizabeth Kornegay in Duplin Co. NC. I believe Daniel Sr. married 2nd to Elizabeth Kornegay and had several more children by her. Daniel Jr. probably son of Daniel Glisson Sr. & 1^st wife Sarah Herring. He was not listed in will of Stephen Herring. He was listed in 1830 census in Duplin Co. NC and in 1840-1850 in Gibson Co. TN. He left many descendants in Gibson Co. TN area. The Mrs. Daniel Glisson Jr. who died in 1822 in Duplin Co. NC may have been his first wife. Probably children of Daniel Glisson Jr. & Martha Patsy are Yancey D., Elizabeth J., Marshall B., Abraham, Mary, Eliza, Elias B., Nancy Louise, Isham, Clarissa, Martha, Hetty H., and Charlotte.

Henry Glisson b.1793 Duplin Co. NC? d.1840-50 Obion Co. TN wife Amy Ann. Henry probable son of Abraham Glisson (brother of above Daniel Glisson)& wife Pearsis Herring (sister of Sarah Herring wife of Daniel Sr.). Henry was listed in will of Stephen Herring as son of his dau Pearsis not Sarah.Not much info on Henry. He was listed 1840 census in Obion Co. TN. His widow and children listed in 1850 census in Obion Co. TN. Amy Ann and sons Isiah & Theodore were listed in Stoddard Co. MO in 1860 census. Amy and son Theordore was listed back in Obion Co. TN in 1870. Isiah stayed in MO. No info on the rest of Henry Glisson's children as of yet. Children of Henry & Amy Ann are Pearsis, Isiah, James, Dennis, Nancy, Theodore, Mary and probably more.

Stephen Herring Glisson b.1798 Duplin Co. NC d.1849 wife Nancy. Definite son of Daniel Glisson & Sarah Herring. Stephen was listed in brother Bryant's will. Stephen ‘s estate was settled in 1849 Obion Co. TN. Wife Nancy apparently died before he did. Executors of estate were William B. Glisson and James Madison Taylor. He was listed in 1830-1840 census in Obion Co. TN. His children listed in 1850 Obion Co. TN most of them living with James Madison Taylor family. His children were Alfred, Mary wife of James Madison Taylor, William B., Stephen Haywood, George Rufus, Everett and Phineas and maybe more.

Dennis Glisson b. 1805 Duplin Co. NC d.abt 1838. Son of Daniel Glisson Sr. & 2nd wife Elizabeth Kornegay. He married Elizabeth Hines dau of Joel Hines & Patience Gulley of Duplin Co. NC. He left orphans Eliza Jane Glisson, George Washington Glisson, and William Haywood Glisson. His brother Stephen Herring Glisson of Obion Co. was appointed guardian of Eliza Jane Glisson, and Stephen O’Daniel was appointed guardian of George Washington Glisson , & William Haywood Glisson. His children listed also in will of Joel Hines in Duplin Co. NC area, as grandchildren of Joel Hines & Patience Gulley. Did not find Dennis in any 1830 Census and he died before the 1840 census.

Mcdd??t?n, Elizabeth N??r??n which probably is Martha Middleton & Elizabeth Norman. Also listed was Dennis, James, heirs

of Nancy F.Lake, Boddy Leesley. Other Children not listed. Martha did go to Henry CoTN Isaac: Isaac Middleton son of

on Martin Co. NC and Weakley & Henry Co. TN. Elizabeth did go to Henry Co. TN by at least 1835. John: John and family left

Duplin Co. NC in 1826 and moved to either Weakley Co. or Henry Co. TN. later went to Ark. John was son of Richard Norman
